The Atlantic Ghost Crab (Ocypode quadrata) or Ghost Fiddler, is primarily nocturnal but can sometimes be spotted at the edges of dunes and vegetation on cloudy days.

They are actually seen very frequently …. Maybe not quite as much on crowded beaches.
